There was a fire in a residential building in Belleville on Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 50 block of Donald Street behind McDonald’s Restaurant shortly before 7 a.m.
Smoke and flames were seen coming from the building but firefighters were able to enter the structure.
All occupants had escaped safely and the fire was under control in about an hour.
A short stretch of Donald Street between North Front and North Park streets will be closed until the scene is cleared.
