The CEO of the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce is taking a cautious approach to yesterday’s proposed federal budget.
Suzanne Andrews calls it a “big spending budget” with important investments in manufacturing, national defence, and infrastructure.
However, she adds the devil is in the details.
“They’re taking on some pretty big plans, big programming. It’s going to remain to be seen how they actually
implement a lot of this in the timeline that they’ve set.”
Andrews says the Chamber of Commerce nationally hopes the spending doesn’t get out of control.
