The mayor of Belleville likes some of what he sees in the federal budget.
Neil Ellis tells Quinte News the promise of $3 billion over 10 years for local infrastructure projects could be a big help.
“We’re all aware we have many infrastructure projects here (Belleville). One is the wastewater treatment plant
which will probably be north of $150 million.”
Ellis adds that the planned $84 billion in new defence spending over the next five years can only mean more jobs, both civilian and military at 8 Wing Trenton.
