The “devil’s in the details” but the mayor of Quinte West likes the federal budget’s promises for big spending on the military.
Jim Harrison says he’s hoping more investment will be coming to 8 Wing Trenton because of it.
Meanwhile, he’s hoping Quinte West will be able to access new federal dollars for roads, bridges, water, and wastewater projects.
“We have many, many, many projects in the City of Quinte West that need support and help and I hope we can access the funds to help us with our wastewater treatment facility.”
Harrison adds that he believes people are going to have to work harder in the future as a “dollar likely won’t go as far as it used to.”
