Northumberland OPP were busy Friday morning after reports a vehicle rammed a police cruiser.
Officers were west of Brighton in the area of Little Lake and attempted to stop a driver using a spike belt, however, they were unable.
The stolen vehicle continued east, and left on County Road 40 (Wooler Road).
The vehicle originated in the York region in the Greater Toronto Area.
Officers were finally able to stop driver shortly after 5:00 a.m..
At least one person is in custody.
There was front-end damage and a broken light on the suspect vehicle.
No other details are known at this time.
