“As we celebrate National Philanthropy Day, we are reminded of the profound impact that giving has on our communities,” said Melanie Barre, president of AFP Southeastern Ontario. “Each of our honourees gives of their time, treasure and heart in their own unique way — yet all share a common purpose: to make a difference. The foundations and charities they support could not do what they do without the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers who stand beside them, day in and day out. Together, this year’s honourees embody the spirit of giving and are truly making a difference.”
National Philanthropy Day (NPD) honours the spirit of giving and all it makes possible. It’s a time to recognize the philanthropists and volunteers whose generosity drives the vital work of our non-profits and charities every day.
AFPSEO recognizes this year’s honourees on Thursday, November 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Albert College, 160 Dundas Street, Belleville. Tickets are available here and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend:
