Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre’s 18th annual Walk A Mile, held on Saturday, October 4 in Cobourg, raised over $55,000.
Funds raised will help Cornerstone continue to provide vital programs and services to individuals and families impacted by gender-based violence across Northumberland County.
“We are beyond thrilled by the generosity of our community,” said Nancy Johnston, Executive Director of Cornerstone. “Each year, Walk A Mile is a reminder that when we work together, we can make real change for women and children in our community. The funds raised support our programs and services, including shelter, counselling, prevention programming and more.”
Cornerstone’s work is made possible through the dedication of donors, sponsors, and supporters.
