Three Royal Canadian Air Force helicopters from 1 Wing will fly over Kingston on November 1, 2025, around 1 p.m. to mark the unveiling of the National Memorial to the Fallen.
The flyby will include two CH-146 Griffon helicopters from 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron and one CH-147F Chinook from 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron. The aircraft will operate at altitudes no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route and will be configured with weapons, however, they will not be carrying any ammunition. This activity may generate unfamiliar noise and attract the attention of local residents.
Royal Canadian Air Force flights are meticulously planned and closely monitored to ensure public safety, with operations contingent on weather and flying conditions.
