Quinte West OPP have recovered a stolen vehicle after a traffic stop.
On Saturday at close to 8 a.m., officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle moving through the area, being tracked by an installed GPS.
The vehicle was intercepted on Highway 401 and an occupant was arrested. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
Jerry Domond, a 44-year-old Quebec man, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of a device for the purpose of committing theft, possession of a Schedule 1 substance – cocaine, mischief under $5000, and failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held in custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
