Belleville council will be hearing from a leading clean-power producer, developer and manager at its meeting
Monday afternoon.
FirstLight Power will ask council for its support as it looks to receive approval to move ahead with a Battery
Energy Storage System project in the city.
No details on the project were provided on the council agenda available to the public.
A battery storage system receives electricity from various sources such as wind and solar, and holds it until
it’s needed on the hydro grid.
