Two local lacrosse teams can thank some great play and a combined effort for their Ontario Championship over the weekend.
The Quinte Bayhawks and the Tyendinaga Thunderbirds combined in the U9 level to become the Quinte Thunderhawks Sixes Lacrosse Team, participating in Ontario Championships.
They defeated Guelph in the semi-finals and Toronto in the finals to win provincials in Hamilton.
