A 31-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after being arrested on a warrant on Friday.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., police on general patrol in the area of Charles Street and Division Street observed an individual wanted on multiple warrants with the Cobourg Police Service.
As a result of the police investigation, the 31-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested. Upon arrest, police located a prohibited knife.
The accused was further charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, failure to comply with probation, and two counts of breach of release order.
The accused was held for bail.
The Cobourg Police Service notes that, since October 2024, the individual has been arrested eight times and charged with 24 criminal offences, including five charges of drug trafficking. In total, police have had 36 interactions with the accused in the last year.
