One of the largest fundraisers of the year is just days away for Hospice Prince Edward.
It is called Rock for Hospice and it is taking place Friday November 7 at the hall at the Wellington arena.
Dr Kim Haigh is with the board of directors for Hospice Prince Edward and tells Quinte News the dance is to raise funds and provide community services.
“Unfortunately the government doesn’t fully fund us. We get about one half to two thirds of our operating revenue from the government and we have to fundraise for the rest.”
Haigh says the night will put the fun in fundraising.
“Fundraising events like this are very important to help us continue to provide services for the community free of charge.”
The evening will include door prizes, silent auction items, a bar and lots of music for people to hit the dance floor.
“We have live music with The Reasons and we also have special guests Bill Wood, The Boujees, and Ian Roy.”
