During Thursday’s Police Services Board meeting, Belleville police honoured a string of their officers and staff with awards for their performance.
The first to be recognized was Jordan Ackerley, a 911 call-taker and dispatcher who was recognized provincially by the National Emergency Number Association. He received the Memorial President’s Award for demonstrating exceptional empathy, pride in their role, and a passion for helping others.
Next was Sergeant Pat Comeau, who was granted a Chief’s Commendation for his role in leading and organizing the Cops and Kids Fishing Derby.

Constable Brittney Blake, Detective Constable Ben Walden, Tara Hanley, and Lila Evans also received Chief’s Commendations for their contributions in developing the Belleville Police Service’s strategic plan for 2026 to 2029.

The final recognition went to Constable Monique Waite, who received a Chief’s Commendation for organizing a blood drive at the police station, with many members of the service donating.
