Belleville Police are issuing a call for witnesses to a serious weekend collision on Old Highway 2 in the city’s east end.
A Honda Civic and a Chevrolet Cruze were involved in a head on collision in the area of Burns Drive Sunday morning around 2:20 a.m.
Three people were taken to hospital, one in critical condition while two others sustained minor injuries.

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 2:57am, police received a report of a serious collision on Old Highway 2 involving a Honda Civic and a Chevrolet Cruze.
When officers arrived, they found both vehicles with extensive damage. Paramedics and fire services were already on scene, and three people had been taken to hospital. One person was in critical condition, and two others sustained minor injuries.
The initial investigation indicates that the Honda Civic, travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed, crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with the Chevrolet Cruze at approximately 2:20am.
