The Belleville Senators dropped their home opener on Saturday, as the visiting Toronto Marlies edged them 2-1 in overtime.
Oskar Pettersson scored for the Senators.
After a scoreless first period, the Marlies opened scoring late in the second with an unanswered goal. The Senators came back early in the third to tie the score, and take the game to overtime. After just three minutes of overtime play, the Marlies scored, winning the game.
The Senators are back in action today. They’re hosting the Syracuse Crunch at CAA Arena. The puck drops at 3 p.m.
