12:30 p.m. UPDATE: Old Highway 2 reopened, investigation continues
Belleville police are on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision in the area of Old Highway 2 and Burns Drive.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday after 2 a.m., near the border with Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Two vehicles collided head on, resulting in at least three people being injured. At least one person was taken to hospital in Kingston.
Traffic is being rerouted north at Shannonville Road and as well as north at Mitchell Side Road
Belleville police are asking drivers to avoid this area until further notice.
