Multiple charges have been laid after Quinte West OPP began an impaired driving investigation on Sunday.
Around 1 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and they believed the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol and cannabis.
After screening and testing, 23-year-old Cameron Kimmet from Trenton was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding 1 – 49km over posted limit
- Fail to notify change of address
- Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in public place
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
- Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The vehicle was also impounded and Kimmet’s licence was suspended.
