Multiple charges have been laid following a home invasion in Quinte West Monday night.
Around 8 p.m., OPP responded to an apartment on Adrian Court just off Sidney Street.
Residents reported being robbed in their home by three people with a gun and a knife.
One of the victims was also assaulted.
The Tactics and Rescue Unit and the Emergency Response Team were called in three people were arrested and charged.
Anthony-Joel Kabwika Lumbala, age 26 of Oshawa is charged with:
- Assault
- Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Robbery using a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Theft over $5,000
- Theft under $5,000
- Break and enter
- Disguise with intent
- Mischief under $5,000
Ismael Tumba, age 21 of Toronto is charged with:
- Robbery using a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous pu rpose
- Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Break and enter
- Disguise with intent
- Theft over $5,000
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Unlawfully in a dwelling
- Mischief under $5,000
- Failure to comply with a release order
Angela Zimmerman, age 36 of Quinte West is charged with:
- Assault
- Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
- Robbery using a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Break and enter
- Theft over $5,000
- Theft under $5,000
- Mischief under $5,000
- Unlawfully in a dwelling
All three have been held for a bail hearing
