The Wellington Dukes were able to come roaring back with four goals to tie the game, but ultimately fell in double overtime 5-4 to the Lindsay Muskies Friday night.
Lindsay scored four of their goals in the first period from Maxwell Howlett, Colton Bain, Nole Faulkner, and Ajay Rai.
The Dukes came back with the debuting Liam Campbell, who had been acquired by the Dukes from the Chatham Maroons of the GOHL, scoring a hat trick in the second period.
Cole Ellis scored the tying goal for the Dukes in third period.
The game went into double overtime but the Muskies ultimately were able to to finish off the Dukes, with Cole Maclean scoring his first goal of the season to win it for Lindsay.
The Dukes head back home to Wellington at the Lehigh Arena on Sunday where they welcome the Aurora Tigers.
