The Quinte Museum of Natural History unveiled its ‘Rocks Revealed’ exhibit during Doors Open Quinte West over the weekend.
The exhibit highlights mineral specimens, the Canadian Shield’s deep history, and the role geology plays in shaping our landscapes and lives.
Different interactive elements are also available at the exhibit.
“Geology is the foundation of natural history,” said Deanna Way, executive director of the Quinte West Museum of Natural History in a press release.
“Through Rocks Revealed, visitors can discover how the land beneath us was formed and why understanding our geological past is key to shaping our future.”
The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $8 per person, with free entry for children five years of age and under.
Tickets can be purchased online at quintemuseum.ca or at the door.
