The City of Belleville is hosting a special celebration for the grand opening of the new Elgin Parkette playground on Friday.
The Elgin Parkette is located at the southwest corner of Sidney Street and Moira Street West.
In addition to the official opening of the new playground, there will be a number of free activities and giveaways taking place throughout the event including face painting, balloon creations and free food truck tickets for the first 100 patrons (courtesy of Park N Play Design).
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m.
Parking is available off Elgin Street.
