The Trenton Golden Hawks edged the Haliburton Huskies 3-2 in double overtime on Saturday.
Beckett Ewart and Jamie Darlison scored for the Golden Hawks.
After a scoreless first period, the Huskies opened scoring early in the second with the Golden Hawks tying the score before the end of the frame. After both teams picked up third-period goals to stay neck-in-neck, the game went into overtime, and then double overtime before the Golden Hawks grabbed a final goal and took the game.
The Golden Hawks will be back in action on Friday. They’re hosting the Milton Menace at the Dunc.
