Local farmers had good reason to worry about their crops this season.
This region has been in a serious drought situation for four straight months.
After a good soaking in May it’s been all downhill as far as rainfall is concerned.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, the area received 185 millimetres, or seven and one quarter inches, less rain than is normal for the months of June, July, August, and September.
And there’s no rain in the forecast this month until the middle of next week.
