On Wednesday night, Northumberland OPP received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle being driven erratically on Theatre Road in Hamilton Township.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description entering a commercial parking lot on William Street in Cobourg.
Police learned that the motorist was prohibited from driving and in a subsequent search of the vehicle, located the bags of cannabis.

– Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place
– Cultivate, propagate or harvest any cannabis plant at a place that is not their dwelling/house
– Operation while prohibited
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in November.
