The Children’s Foundation is gearing up for its annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon, a powerful one-day, 12-hour broadcast on Wednesday October 1. The day is dedicated to raising awareness and generating vital funds to provide children with life-changing opportunities and support.
The Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon will unite CJBQ, MIX97, ROCK107, and six other radio stations across Hastings, Northumberland, and Prince Edward County—amplifying both a strong regional presence and deeply local impact. This collective effort ensures that children in every corner of our community feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Ingrid Moore, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation says, “Every dollar raised on the Radiothon goes directly to helping local children thrive—whether it’s access to programs, experiences, or critical supports that shape their futures. But the day is about so much more than donations. For 12 hours, nine local radio stations will be sharing powerful stories – from youth whose lives have been touched by our programs, from donors explaining why they give, and from board members and volunteers reflecting on their experiences. It’s a reminder of the impact we can make when we come together for the kids.”
