The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the St. Michaels Buzzers 7-3 on Friday night at the Dunc.
Thomas Kuipers, Beckett Ewart, Isaiah Shantz, Taeo Artichuk, and Jack Ziliotto scored for the Golden Hawks, with Kuipers earning a hat trick.
The Golden Hawks launched into an explosive first period with five goals to the Buzzers’ one. During the second, both teams picked up an extra goal, preserving the Golden Hawks’ lead. In the third, both teams scored one last time, with the Golden Hawks keeping the lead and taking the win.
The Golden Hawks are on the road on Saturday facing the Pickering Panthers.
