Enrolment is up this year in schools administered by the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
The latest count shows a total of 15,277 students enrolled in the board’s 38 elementary and secondary schools.
That’s an increase of 70 over last year’s numbers.
Meanwhile, the board has signed off on a new five-year contract with its Director of Education Katherine MacIver.
