Cooler weather is coming and as always it will bring with it influenza and respiratory illnesses of various kinds.
Staff at Quinte Health’s hospitals are gearing up for the annual surge in patients and CEO Stacey Daub tells Quinte News that residents should be checking South East Public Health soon for up-to-date information on vaccinations.
“But there is also an RSV vaccine that was not available last year and is now available for older adults. But the most up-to-date information is available through Public Health.”
Other places offering vaccination information are family doctors and pharmacies.
Quinte Health CEO Stacey Daub adds that while vaccinations are recommended it’s up to each individual to educate themselves about vaccines and make their own decision on whether to use them or not.
