Cobourg Police Service is currently investigating the cause of a fire on Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., police responded to the area of Bay Street and Green Street in Cobourg for a report of a fence on fire.
A bystander was able to extinguish most of the fire with an extinguisher, and the Cobourg Fire Department attended to put out hot spots and ensure the area was safe.
There were no injuries reported.
Damage was sustained to the fence and hedge.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
