Belleville Fire and Emergency Services says it has approved an agricultural burn occurring in the area between Casey Road and Blessington Road just east of Hwy 37 and there is no cause for alarm.
Several calls were made to 911 Monday morning reporting smoke.
Deputy Fire Chief Mark Shannon says a farmer is clearing fence lines and tiling fields for farming operations.
He adds there is no safety concern.
