The ENSS cross-country team competed at the 41st Annual Trinity Invitational Harrier Meet and put together an excellent set of results across all age groups. The Blue Dragons showed strength and depth, with multiple top-ten finishes and strong team performances that suggest another exciting season is ahead.
Individually, four ENSS runners finished in the top ten. In the senior boys’ 6km race, Sullivan Tait was fourth (21:39), Owen McDougall fifth (21:47), and Jack Turner 10th (22:30). In the senior girls’ 6km, Anastasiia Syrovatska ran to ninth place (26:37).
The senior boys – Sullivan Tait, Owen McDougall, Jack Turner, Chase Eddy (16), Nate Boomhouwer (17), Dawson Dunham (25), Orion Kovacs (59), Ethan McDougall (63), Alex Botting (87), and Jon Tresher (96) – won their division.
Novice girls – Layla Delport (14), Ellie Shutt (26), Sabrina Baptista (27), Nicola Turner (32), Jayla Orr (47), Sophie Lawlor (65), and Ginny Goolsby (68) – finished fourth.
Senior girls – Anastasiia Syrovatska, Kora Ferguson (23), Caris Hennessy (38), Chloe Nichols (44th), Rachel Horton (59), Josalynn Scott (64), and Addison Hill (68th) – finished fifth.
Junior girls – Roslyn Marshall (16), Raya VanEdmond (35), Maddy O’Sullivan (41), and Lily Hoole (42nd) – finished fifth.
Junior boys – Danish Kuhafa (16), Charlie Grills (24), Casimir Iwan (55), Joshua Haveman (89), Maverick Berry (113), and Tyler Trescher (118) – finished 10th.
Novice boys – Jackson Doty (60), Sawyer Thain (87), and Princeton Fleming (91) – ran their best, but did not have enough runners to complete a team.
Congratulations to all Blue Dragons who competed in Port Hope today. With several top-ten finishes and strong team placings across all divisions, ENSS runners are off to a fantastic start to the 2025 season.
