A lot severance with new zoning for part of the severed land has gotten approval in Sophiasburgh
During Wednesday’s Prince Edward County Planning and Development committee meeting, members of council discussed the proposed lot severance at 13 South Big Island Road, and re-designate one of the severed potions from the shore land designation to agricultural area.
The land owners plan to sell off the re-zoned severed portion to a party with plans to develop it as a farm winery, with production and tasting areas.
The committee approved the proposal without debate, and forwarded the matter to a future council meeting for final approval.
