A subdivision agreement is moving forward for part of the Base31 property in Prince Edward County.
During Wednesday’s Planning and Development Committee meeting, members of county council discussed a proposal to enter into a subdivision agreement involving part of the Base31 lands along County Road 22.
The agreement does not permit any new development, with the lands already covered under a previously-approved official plan amendment. The agreement solely splits off the land to be separate from the larger land holdings at Base31.
The affected area along both sides of County Road 22 covers 63.72 hectares, and is being divided into eight zones with different uses. Two zones will be for mixed residential and commercial use, one for an apartment building, one for a storm water management pond, and the remaining four are reserved for road widening.
The committee approved the agreement and it was sent on to council for final approval.
