A Kingston man is facing charges after police clocked him driving at 200km/h on Highway 401.
On Tuesday, Northumberland OPP officers stopped the driver while he was driving on the eastbound 401 lanes near Hamilton Township.
The motorist, a 24-year-old Kingston man, was charged with stunt driving – extreme speed. His licence was suspended for 30 days, and his vehicle was impounded.
Police are warning drivers that driving at excessive speeds is dangerous to both yourself and other vehicles, and that speed limits are in place to protect everyone on the roads.
