Quinte West invites the community to celebrate arts and culture at its annual Doors Open event on Saturday, October 4.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can explore 14 local sites throughout the City that are not usually open to the public, or that are offering unique programming for the day.
Participants can explore local history, culture, innovation, and architecture through self-guided tours, family-friendly activities, and engaging displays.

This annual event is free to attend and part of Doors Open Ontario, a province-wide initiative led by the Ontario Heritage Trust that provides meaningful experiences and fosters appreciation for community heritage.
“Doors Open Quinte West invites visitors to choose their own adventure through some of the places and spaces that are not always open to the public,” says Shannon Millar, Quinte West Tourism Coordinator. “We encourage visitors to take a self-guided tour through as many of the 14 sites they can get to in the day!”
“The City is excited to host this one-day event. With such a wide variety of participating locations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” says Jennifer Rushlow, Quinte West Tourism Development Officer.
Admission is free to all Doors Open Quinte West sites. Some sites have limited parking.
A free Quinte Transit shuttle is available from Quinte West City Hall on a loop to six sites in Trenton beginning at 10 a.m.
