Canadian journalist and longtime CTV News anchor Beverly Thomson has died.
Best known for her interviews with politicians and celebrities, Thomson died yesterday morning with family at her side after a long battle with cancer, at age 61.
Thomson began her career in radio, including at CJBQ as a reporter in the late 80s and early 90s.
Last October, Thomson was awarded an industry lifetime achievement award and was a 2019 recipient of the Order of Canada for her contributions to broadcasting and her volunteer work with multiple breast cancer organizations.
