The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Cobourg Cougars 4-1 at the Dunc on Friday night.
Beckett Ewart, Isaiah Shantz, and Matt Indovina scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks came out of the gate swinging with three first-period goals before the Cougars could get on the board. Late in the first, the Cougars took their one and only goal of the game. During the second frame, the Golden Hawks extended their lead with an extra goal, before holding onto the lead through a scoreless third to win the game.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Monday to face the Collingwood Blues.
