It was a special evening for 100+ Women Who Care Quinte.
The organization that gives to charities every quarter, celebrated its 10th anniversary Wednesday.
Event spokeswoman Tawnya Smith says since their inception they’ve raised $368,000 for community organizations.
“We are so proud of being here for 10 years giving to our community with over $368,000. What an amazing group of women who are really making a difference in our community.”
At their latest meeting, members chose to support for Tears Mean Love, a group that raises awareness and funds for families facing childhood cancer.
“It provides childhood cancer families in the Bay of Quinte with support, with family support including financial support, gas and grocery gift cards, sibling gifts, scholarships, bereaved family support and more.”
It was established in the memory of 15-year-old Katie Wilson who passed away from cancer.
