A 17-year-old Belleville male was charged following a dispute between family members on Wednesday afternoon.
Belleville police responded to a report of an altercation at a west-end residence around 5 p.m.
Upon arrival, police learned that a male had picked up a knife and threatened others before fleeing the scene.
Officers located and arrested the 17-year-old accused on two counts of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
He was held for a bail hearing.
