Bancroft OPP have arrested one person with multiple charges after resisting arrest when being approached by police on an outstanding warrant.
On Sunday, September 7, shortly after 9:30 a.m., officers recognized a wanted person in the Town of Bancroft. When officers approached, the wanted party resisted arrest causing minor injuries to the officer. Once transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment the accused threatened police officers while being lodged in the police cells.
Daniel Sarginson, of Bancroft has been charged with the following:
· Resist peace officer – two counts
· Fail to comply with probation order
· Uttering threats – three counts
The accused was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Belleville on Thursday.
