The City of Quinte West’s latest Building Report shows 57 permits with a construction value of $13.8 million were issued last month.
That is down from August of 2024 when 69 permits worth $18.6 million were issued but higher than the 52 permits worth $9.1 million granted in the same month in 2023.
Last month’s numbers include a permit for the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre which is set to undergo a $2.8 million expansion.
Year-to-date, there have been 388 permits with a construction value of $108.6 million taken out in Quinte West, lagging behind the 416 permits worth $132.4 million granted through the end of August 2024.
