A man from Scugog Township is facing more than two dozen charges following an arrest in Quinte West Wednesday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m., the Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team was dispatched regarding a stolen vehicle on Douglas Road, near Hwy 401 and Glen Miller Road.
After officers initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle fled, lost control on Dixon Drive, and then fled on foot.
Byron Hoadley, 32 years old from Scugog Township, has been charged with the following offences:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possessing automobile master key
- Flight from peace officer
- Dangerous operation
- Failure to comply with release order – other then to attend court x 2
- Fail to comply with probation order x5
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order x 6
- Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Unauthorized possession of weapon
- Driving while under suspension
- Obstruct plate
- Alter permit
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
