Belleville police responded to 380 calls for service from 5 a.m. on August 29, 2025 to 5 a.m. on September 2, 2025.
Breach of Release Order
On August 30, 2025 at 2:50 p.m., Belleville police conducted a walk-through at the Belleville Fairgrounds. During patrol, officers observed a male known to be in breach of his release order and undertaking. As a result, Michael Moon, a 50-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged for:

Impaired Driver
On August 30, 2025 at 8:15 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a vehicle swerving across the road. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, where they observed a female driver exhibiting signs of impairment. As a result of investigation, Shay Hill, a 35-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, as well as failure to stop under the Highway Traffic Act. She was released on an undertaking with a court date in October.
Assault
On August 31, 2025 at 1:20 a.m., Belleville police responded to a disturbance in the city’s east end. Upon arrival, officers located one male and two females. Officers spoke to all parties where it was reported that the male had punched a female earlier in the night after a verbal altercation. As a result of investigation, a 36-year-old Alberta man was arrested and charged with assault. He was held for a bail hearing.
Stunt Driving
On September 1, 2025 at 10:13 a.m., Belleville police were conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 37 when a vehicle was recorded driving at 182 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone. As a result, an 18-year-old Belleville man was charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act and issued a summons with a court date in October. His vehicle was impounded for 14 days and his licence suspended for 30 days.
