The proposed development for Black Bear Ridge was up for discussion again Tuesday at the City of Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee.
The committee passed a staff recommendation that an application to amend the city’s Official Plan allowing for the adoption of the Black Bear Ridge Village Secondary Plan which will start to bring in the concept of how the development will look.
Ward 2 Councillor Paul Carr notes that secondary plans are common for long-term developments and will still require further approvals as more detailed designs come forward.
The committee also recommended the rezoning of two pieces of land within the 370-hectare property to become part of the Black Bear Ridge Village Zone.
The recommendations will now go to city council for further approval.
