Former Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk is taking on a new role with Ontario One Call.
He has been named the organization’s new president and CEO.
Ontario One Call acts as a communications link between buried infrastructure owners and individuals who are planning to dig in the province of Ontario.
By law, anyone in the province of Ontario must contact Ontario One Call before they dig.
In a release, Ontario Once Call says Panciuk brings a wealth of leadership experience and a strong commitment to public service having served as both city councillor and mayor of Belleville, where he championed key initiatives in housing, infrastructure, and healthcare recruitment.
His extensive governance experience includes serving on multiple boards, notably as previous chair of Ontario One Call’s board of directors. He has also held leadership roles with the Elexicon Board of Directors, the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the Quinte Economic Development Board, reflecting his deep engagement in community development.
Panciuk currently serves as a corporate director with Hydro One.
He succeeds Jim Keech, who has led the organization over the past three years.
