The date for a judicial review is now known, in a pair of public school board suspensions against a trustee.
Rachel Prinzen has received two different sets of sanctions/suspensions, connected to alleged breaches in the Code of Conduct, related to trust and confidentiality.
Each time she was suspended, Prinzen took her appeal to a divisional court and twice now her sanctions have been stayed.
The court stayed the first set of sanctions, however, we do not know if the second stay was granted by the court or the school board.
When we inquired from the school board, we were told they could not comment as the investigation was before the courts.
In a post of social media, the North Prince Edward trustee announced there will be a judicial review in Ottawa.
A panel of the Divisional Court is scheduled for February 23, 2026.
As of the end of the school year, the legal fees for the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board had surpassed $110,000.
