A firearms incident in Marmora and Lake has resulted in attempted murder and other charges against one person.
Around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Central Hastings OPP received a report of shots being fired at a home on High Shore Road near Highway 7.
No serious injuries were reported.
OPP, the Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit searched the area and located a suspect less than an hour later.
As a result of the investigation, which included members of the Central Hastings OPP Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services, 46-year-old Jason Fluke from Marmora and Lake has been charged with:
•Attempt to commit murder
•Discharge a firearm with intent
•Careless use of a firearm
•Pointing a firearm
•Using a firearm while committing an offence
•Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose •Unauthorized possession of a firearm
•Careless storage of a firearm
•Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
•Forcible entry, break and enter, theft under $5000
•Mischief – destroys or damages property
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on Thursday.
