There was a large field fire in Tyendinaga Township on Wednesday.
Around 12:20 p.m., township fire crews were on scene just east of Read on Blessington Road, where members worked to contain the blaze and protect a nearby home.
Mohawk members provided tankers and manpower, while Belleville fire responded from station four with an ATV.
Chief James Oliver tells Quinte News about eight to ten acres were burned in total.
No injuries were reported and there was no damage done to the home.
