A burn ban for Northumberland County has been officially lifted.
In a press release, the Northumberland County Fire Chiefs Association said that due to cooler temperatures and significant rain, the open-air burn ban is no longer needed.
Residents are reminded to follow their local municipal open-air burning by-laws and to always use extreme
caution when performing open-air burns.
